Middle School Parent Time: Break It Down - Week 1

Families, this week we begin a new series titled “Break It Down”. The goal of this series is to point our students to Jesus through God’s Word! We all know this can be a bit daunting. So, it’s all about taking a tactical approach to Scripture and “breaking it down”. This Wednesday’s lesson focuses on answering a few basic questions: (1) What is the Bible? (2) Who is the Bible for? (3) Why do we read the Bible? I pray the takeaway for our students is:
The point of the Bible is JESUS!
Ask them to see if they remember that. We also discussed questions to ask while reading scripture: (1) What does this tell me about God? (2) What does this tell me about myself? (3) What does this tell me about how I treat others? Check out the questions below to guide your conversation.
