Middle School Parent Time: Do Something - Week 2
Hey everyone! I hope this new series is promoting thought-provoking conversations between you all and your child(ren). As you know all too well, our world is riddled with injustices everywhere we turn. Some of those injustices are obvious to us. Others are so easy to acknowledge and understand -- especially for our young people. While last week was spent encouraging students to SEE injustices, this week we discussed the very real truth that many of our students have likely experienced injustices, whether directly or indirectly.

Parent Nugget → Read over 2 Corinthians 11 where Paul lists all the injustices he has faced in his life for the sake of Jesus. Remind your child(ren) that before Paul ever did all that he did FOR GOD, he was adamantly AGAINST GOD! Paul was the one treating others with cruelty and unfairness. He was FAR FROM JUST. Perhaps your child(ren) has participated in or sat idly by while others have been treated unjustly. And maybe your child(ren) has experienced injustice directly. In either case, sharing what happened to people like Paul and even Jesus himself will surely give them strength to overcome injustices in the world and perhaps even boast about them as Paul did for the Glory of God!!!
